not cracking while using radio silenceWhen you’re using a method as you’re trying to get your ex back, you might think that it’s going to work after just a few days, you want things to go fast, and you want a miracle to happen. This desire to go too fast can result in certain problems and can lead you to make mistakes in your strategy. You get tired of waiting and you want to make things start happening.

One of the most common techniques used for getting an ex back is of course No contact or Radio Silence, but contrary to what people might think, it’s not the easiest. Just cutting contact and waiting around isn’t going to be enough to make them want you back. It’s true that holding out for weeks without talking to the person you love isn’t easy but in certain situations, it’s essential and the distance you have to put between you has to be big if you want it to work.

If you’re employing RS and you regularly send short text messages like, “Have a good day,” or “Goodnight,” I regret to inform you that you haven’t understood how this method is supposed to work. So you’re probably wondering how to stick with radio silence? How can you continue putting this crucial distance between you without giving in? Thousands of people ask me these questions each month because you don’t know how to get a positive reaction from your ex. In order to get an adequate reaction, here are 10 tips to help you stop worrying about cracking while using radio silence.

The best tips for not cracking while using radio silence

In order to help you through this period that has you at your wit’s end, here are 10 pieces of advice on sticking with your RS and for making it as effective as possible.

Exercise after the breakup to get you out of your head

Sitting on your couch, looking at your phone every 5 minutes isn’t the solution for making your radio silence produce the desired result and to show that you’ve changed and improved. This is why you have to set your anger and doubts aside and focus on something else. Exercise helps you to do exactly this and also helps you to bring about change if you’ve neglected your physical health.

Spending time with your loved ones in order to make your radio silence work.

It’s not always easy to stay alone and to wait for your ex to return, especially if your radio silence lasts for a long time. You’re not going to sit around alone for 3 weeks! You have to find moments in which you feel good, happy and care-free so that you can have a better attitude towards your ex and to steer clear of depression after a breakup. My friends, your family and even your colleagues are there to help you with this. You don’t have to pour your heart out to them or ask them for advice; all you have to do is spend some time having fun with them instead of staying alone. The more your mind is occupied, the less you will concentrate on your ex.

Limit your time on Facebook

When you want to stick with your radio silence you should avoid social media, or at least not spend all your time on your electronic devices. Facebook and all the other social media platforms in which people post photos, communicate with people are things to avoid. If for some reason you can’t delete your account, limit your presence. I think a couple dozen minutes a day are largely enough. There’s no sense in tempting fate; you’re in control of yourself and you can do a wide variety of other, more constructive things than remaining glued to your screen. This is just one more reason why exercise is so beneficial. It will help you clear your mind, focus on something else, and blow off some steam!

Reminding yourself why you’re employing radio silence

After two weeks of radio silence, one tends to wonder if it’s actually useful and if it’s actually efficient, and I completely understand why you would begin feeling like this. But if you don’t want to crack, and if you don’t want to make mistakes, you have to remind yourself why you’re putting this distance between you two. When you’re about to send a text back, think about the past and about the fact that it’s necessary to change things if you want to be together again. You’re not doing this with to be malicious; and don’t forget that when you’re able to call your ex or reply to your ex’s text.

Focus on your work or on your studies

Even before your relationship, you had had work or school and now it’s time to invest in it 200%. During this period, you have to rebuild yourself step by step. Whether you have exams or an important project to finish, give it your all and show your boss that you’re eager to move forward. Focusing on your professional life will help you to forget the heartache, to move towards certain goals, and to show your ex that you’re perfectly capable of building something solid.

Stay off the phone!

The purpose of radio silence isn’t just to make your ex miss you and approach you again; you also have to set into motion actions geared towards getting your ex back, towards making tangible changes, and that will help you to understand the errors that you may have been making while you were together. Understanding the breakup and being able to explain it will enable you to find the appropriate solutions. In order to properly look inside yourself like this, it’s important that you don’t lose track of yourself. To do this, I suggest that you don’t use your phone during certain hours. In the evening, you can spend time with your friends on the phone but between 10:30pm and 7:30am for example put your phone in a drawer!

Find a new passion

Rebuilding yourself and moving forward means that you have to become a new and improved version of yourself. I’m not saying that you have to put yourself down or that you have to forget who you are just to make your ex happy. The goal is to rediscover yourself and to get out of your comfort zone. You have to go out and meet new people. Doing things you’ve never done before, like taking a samba class for example, trying kickboxing out, or seeing new exhibits will get you out of your routine. Having a new activity will help you to stick with your radio silence.

Having personal projects that will help you not to crack while using Radio Silence

Let’s take another moment to discuss investing in your professional life. You also have to take some time to focus on what makes you happy and you can’t always be glued to your desk. It’s important to have personal projects that will spice up your life. Think about travelling, an activity that you’ve been wanting to try for years, and figure out a time frame for making these things a reality. All of this will help you to reduce the presence of negative thoughts and you’ll start to feel more peaceful.

Don’t look at photos of your ex

If you still have pictures of your ex stuck on your fridge or if you keep looking at pictures of you together, you’re of course not going to be able to properly move forward. This is going to make it a lot easier for you to crack and get back in touch with your ex. After all, you’re surrounding yourself with reminders of them and they’re making you miss them even more. You have to let go of these images so that you can start to feel better and stop wanting to get back in touch too early with your ex.

Come up with the ideal strategy for properly employing Radio Silence

This might sound obvious but in order to make your radio silence work you have to use it properly. I know that most men and women that make mistakes are the ones that don’t follow the steps and don’t begin their RS in the best way. You need to build proper foundations if you want your ex back, and I invite you to read this free guide without further ado! It will help you learn everything about this famous technique!

  1. Hello Terry,
Yes, I wouldn’t post outside of your normal activity if you are posting at all. Depending on the goal its better to just go radio silent completely and post nothing.

    1. I wish to get her back but the whole thing is twisted as I explained on some other blog. So don’t I want to show I’m having fun ? I’ve read that other places. Or are you saying to not post at all? I’m confused.
